The Lafourche Parish Game and Fish Commission (Commission) is comprised of seven board members. Six members are appointed by and serve at
the pleasure of the Lafourche Parish Council, or until removed with cause. One member is appointed by and serves at the
pleasure of the governing authority of the Town of Lockport.
Commission board members serve without compensation. Board members may not lease camps within the Lake Field/Lake Long Game and Fish Preserve, and
it is recommended that each member either own or have access to a boat. Election of chairman and vice-chairman takes place on the last meeting of
the calendar year, and those selected will assume their duties on the first meeting of the next year.
